Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me."

This summer, I was invited to be the evangelist for a camp called ONE WAY. It was a great opportunity to share all the aspects of the gospel over 5 days with 75 kids ages 9-13. I heard that 80% of them did not come from a Christian background. The third night, 25 came forward in response to the good news. These are the topics I covered (I developed on the themes the camp director suggested) over 5 evenings:
Night 1. Creation. Design vs. evolution. God created us to live for His glory and will.
Night 2. Sin. The fall of man, God's law, judgment, heaven, hell. Need for a Savior.
Night 3. Jesus. The salvation plan. The good news of what God did through his Son.
Night 4. Salvation. Not by our works. Faith, repentance, being born again. Assurance.
Night 5. Growth. How to bear fruit as a Christian. Continue in Bible, prayer, fellowship.

As you can see I invited those who wanted to repent of their sins to come forward to pray. To my surprise, 25 kids came forward. I instructed counselors to ask why the kids came forward (to make sure they didn't come for the wrong reasons) and to let the kids pray in their own words. I felt it was better to let them pray according to what they believed rather than leading them into repeating a prayer.
Afterwords the counselors and I confirmed that most of them prayed for forgiveness of sin, eternal life and thanked Jesus that he died for them, believing He is God and is risen from the dead. Praise the Lord!

Please pray for all who heard and believed, that they may grow and bear fruit that remains. The camp director goes to our church and has plans for us to follow up with them through the winter time.
